Entire Free World stands united with the People of Ukraine

The outbreak of war was an enormous shock for the entire world. No one expected that unusually, bloody, and brutal military conflict could happen in Europe in the 21st century which hadn’t been seen since the end World War 2. A conflict that destroyed whole cities by using thousands of soldiers, tanks, artillery, and rockets. Conflict without any rules, striking directly into the civil population.

However – what seemed to be, till February 24, 2022, an unrealistic scenario form a disaster movie, for the brave Ukraine Nation the war became a brutal reality. Russia – the aggressor country – in an exceptionally hideous and bestial way invaded his neighbor and replaced the life of  millions of people into hell, very often taking away form them everything that  they had and knew: houses, apartments, whole cities, health, relatives and in many cases even life.

In conjunction with the relentless bombing of Ukrainian cities and villages in the whole country (including: schools, hospitals, theatres, shopping centers, and critical infrastructure which provides electricity, potable water and heating) and their Russian occupation connected with disgraceful crimes on civilians: collective murders, tortures, plunders, rapes and forced deportations – civil population started relocating on a massive scale to the western border – mainly to  Poland, members country of the European Union, and NATO, which is a safe haven for Refugees from Ukraine. Since the outbreak of war more than 13 million Ukrainian war Refugees entered Poland!

What happened in Poland after the outbreak of war in Ukraine has no precedent.

Poles (in their history also deeply experienced by Russia) opened their hearts, houses and gave as much as they could. The impulse of the Poles has carried help to the Ukianian people since the first days of the war, was widely influenced by the media all over the world, and was appreciated by many authorities of the free world. The phenomenon was captured for the first time in history – an enormous humanitarian crisis that would have cost millions of zloty (PLN, Polish currency) was diverted because of the Polish demeanor in providing their homes to the Ukrainian Refugees.  Poland has opened its borders with Ukraine for over 13 million refugees since the beginning of the war.

IN 2022 POLAND SPENT APPROX. PLN 56.6 BILLION ON HELPING UKRAINE – IT’S APPROX. 2% OF POLISH GDP – THE MOST ALONG ALL COUNTRIES IN TERMS OF % OF GDP.
HEALTH CARE IN POLAND: IN 2022 POLAND SPENT OVER PLN 514 MILLION ON HEALTH BENEFITS FOR REFUGEES FROM UKRAINE

As Poles – we didn’t wait for our government decisions or more involved forms of support for refugees – we started organizing help on our own to remedy enormous humanitarian crisis: we moved to the borders to welcome and support coming groups of refugees (mainly women, children, elder people) and organize transport for them to the polish cities. We delivered to the borders (based on our own financial resources): warm meals, clothes, hygiene measures and medicines. We organized humanitarian relief first need. But what is the most important – the fact that a huge number of Poles invited Ukrainian families to their houses, often strangers (often whole families) who needed a roof over one’s head by what we built new, inseparable bonds between our Nations and we wrote beautiful (conditioned tragic circumstances) card in our common history.

Our organization is growing from the bottom-up movement of ordinary people in different occupations and confessions – from Volunteers who, from the first hours of the war, have brought selfless and spontaneous help to Ukrainian war refugees.

We join forces together because we still have many things to do, and we are not going to look away from the harm that happens to innocent people, people who had to leave their houses and run away into the unknown from the Russian rockets.

We have full awareness of what’s happening and what this fight is about.

Before our eyes there is a fight of two worlds: first, free Western (democratic) lifestyle and our shared values which we share and for which Ukrainians shed the blood of their heroes on many battlefields, and the second world: dark, authoritarian, enslaved, filled with evil and imperial tendencies and what is more, desire to erase from the map, free and sovereign country.

  • Ukraine has just chosen whitch side it wants to stand. Ukraine wants to be a free, democratic country belonging to the European Union. Today Ukraine pays the highest price for it – but it will win – this country will drive away invaders from the East because it is not possible to overcome the faith and strength of its heroic nation.
  • Russia tries to terrorize the Ukrainian Nation by missile attacks on civilian settlements and intimidate the countries which support Ukraine such as Poland as the USA, but it fails. No one seems to break heroic Ukrainian defenders or stop the support of the West. Russians do not understand that they can try to destroy Ukrainian buildings, but they never destroy foundation and feeling of freedom of this great Nation.
  • The free world, a coalition of over 50 countries – including countries such as: the USA, Canada, the UK, the European Union countries, NATO countries, Norway, Australia, and Japan all support Ukrainian efforts, and its strive to victory by sending one common message to Moscow: we stand with Ukraine, and we are going to stay together until they win, you will not divide us.
  • The leaders of the free world undertake uninterrupted efforts for support Ukraine by delivery of weapon, military technology, and other means which Ukrainian armed forces need to defense the territory of their country. We want to express gratitude all leaders who are involved in support for Ukraine.

Free world citizens, members that stand for freedom and democratic values such as the rule of law, free elections, freedom of speech, free media, or confessions are the most important, we also want and can help! We can contribute to improving people’s living conditions whose whole life collapsed in Ukraine. No matter where we live: in Warsaw, Paris, London, New York, Tokyo, or a small village somewhere in Ohio. No matter what kind of job we perform every day and which God we believe in – the faith connects us, the faith that manages to achieve our goal together and conviction that we cannot stand indifferently.

We direct our help to Refugees who come to Poland from the zones covered by war,  most often with only one suitcase and without any livelihood. We are proud of the work we have done and simultaneously we are aware of the needs and challenges that are standing in front of us, which is an impulse for further action.
